Diversity


Our Diversity Club students will be traveling to the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC on Monday, April 30th. Our Diversity Club members include: Tia Bradley, Faye Butterbaugh, Zach Cocho, Jack Corcoran, Derek Domidica, Aaron Duke, Kallie Gailey, Sydney Greene, Mason Hogue, Nathan Little, and Erin Talko. We thank Miss Steinbugl for serving as their advisor and chaperone. We also thank Ms. Jennifer Erculaini for volunteering to accompany our students to Washington, D.C. We wish them all safe travels.


On Saturday, April 14th our Student Diversity Club, under the advisement of Miss Sarah Steinbugl, will travel to the Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School to learn about hate groups and crimes from guest speaker, Quay Hanna. They will also view a video in preparation for their visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Monday, April 30th. Our diversity club members include: Tia Bradley, Faye Butterbaugh, Zachary Cocho, Jack Corcoran, Derek Domidica, Aaron Duke, Kallie Gailey, Sydeny Greene, Mason Hogue, Nathan Little, and Erin Talko.
On Saturday, September 23rd our student Diversity Club, under the advisement of Mrs. Sarah Zelnosky and Miss Sarah Steinbugl, will travel to the Penn State Altoona Campus to learn about prejudice and discrimination through various presentations. Our Diversity Club members include: Tia Bradley, Faye Butterbaugh, Zachary Cocho, Jack Corcoran, Derek Domidica, Aaron Duke, Kallie Gailey, Sydney Greene, Mason Hogue, Nathan Little, and Erin Talko.
Members of our “Celebrate Diversity” club will participate in student Day #2 on Saturday, November 18th. Students will travel to various religious institutions and then participate in a group discussion about the similarities and differences they discovered throughout their tour. Miss Steinbugl and Mrs. Zelnosky will serve as chaperones.
